Roz Plumb · Founder
Dressed sets for regional theatre for eleven years, then opened the studio in 2016 because she wanted to build something that only had to look right once, for one person. Takes the Tuesday market run. Answers the phone most days.
Bell Street · Hollis Park
The front half still sells paint and washers. We took the back in 2016, kept the tile floor and the pegboard, and started making flowers to order.
There is no cooler of ready-made bouquets here to grab on your way past. Everything is cut and built the day it goes out, which is why the cutoff below is a real cutoff and not a marketing line. Bouquets start at $65.
Why the arrangements look like that
That is the whole explanation for the house style. Theatre taught her to build things that read from twenty feet back and still hold up close, and to make an arrangement look like it was caught halfway through moving rather than pinned in place.
So the flowers lean. Stems cross. Something is usually escaping the side of the vase on purpose. If you want a tight symmetrical dome, we are genuinely not the right studio, and we will say so on the phone rather than after you have paid.
What things cost
Every price on this page is the price. There is no consultation required to find out what a bouquet costs, and nothing here is "starting from" in the way that usually means double.
| What you can order | Price |
|---|---|
| Small bouquetWrapped, about a dozen stems. The one people send for a birthday. | $65 |
| Medium bouquetRoughly twice the small. This is what most people order without saying why. | $95 |
| Let Roz decideNo brief, no colour request. She builds from whatever came in that morning. It is the most fun we have all week. | $140 |
| DeliveryAnywhere inside 8 miles of Bell Street. We do not deliver past that, because there are two of us. | $12 |
| Celebration table arrangementsPer arrangement, two weeks' notice. Birthday dinners and showers, mostly. | from $45 |
| Wedding consultationAn hour with Teddy. Credited against your booking if you go ahead. | $150 |
| Full wedding floralsCeremony and reception. We take about 18 weddings a year and book 6 to 9 months out. | from $3,500 |

How the studio runs
Order before one and it goes out that afternoon. Order after one and it goes out the next delivery day. We cut and build everything the morning it leaves.
Measured from the Bell Street door. Outside it we will recommend someone closer to you rather than quote a price we would resent driving.
Roz and Teddy. Not a front of house, not a delivery team. When you call, one of the two people who will make your flowers answers.
Ten to four, those two days. Tuesday through Thursday we are filling orders and building weddings. Sunday and Monday we are closed.
Before you ask
It is easier for everyone if this is on the website rather than discovered halfway through a phone call.
It is plastic that never breaks down, and it ends up in the ground after one evening on a table. We build into chicken wire and water tubes instead. It takes longer and it is the main reason a large installation quotes higher here than elsewhere.
No blue roses. No sprayed gold. If a colour does not grow, we cannot get it for you, and we would rather find you something that does grow in that shade.
Roz has a long-standing position on this and she is not moving. There is always something better to fill a gap with.
The hat-box arrangement is a real thing people want and we are bad at it. Ask us and we will tell you who in Hollis Park does it properly.

Teddy Nakashima · Designer
Joined in 2021 and now runs most of the wedding work, which means he is the one you meet at the consultation. Keeps the grower relationships. Is the reason we stopped using foam.
Ordering
You do not need to know what flowers you want. Most people do not. The two things that actually help us are the date it needs to arrive and the number you are comfortable spending, and we will work backwards from those.
